LINOCUTS

                                   "These linocuts represent a nostalgic trip back to a time when I did lithography,                                          etching and woodcuts at  art school.

I enjoy the physical, craft aspects of the process: cutting into lino to form an image and experimenting with different techniques with both press and inks.

The break from painting is beneficial as it is influential in encouraging me to look at familiar subjects in a new way.

The linocuts of dogs are inspired by the woodcuts created by William Nicholson in the late 19th century."
